The CoreUtils package is also published as a Brew formula. So if you have Brew installed you can also just run:

brew install coreutils

Then add PATH="/usr/local/opt/coreutils/libexec/gnubin:$PATH" to ~/.bashrc, run source ~/.bashrc and you’re done.
